Pre-Installation Information:
Operation:
The eyewash is activated by a push-down flat knob.
Components:
Eye/Face Wash and Sprayheads: The eyewash heads are chrome-plated brass with large twin perforated disk eye and face wash heads and protective sprayhead covers. The integral flow control assures safe, steady flow under varying water supply conditions from 30–90 PSI. NOTE: The ANSI Z358.1 standard requires an uninterruptable supply of flushing fluid at a minimum 30 PSI flow pressure. Eyewash Bowl: The corrosion-resistant stainless steel bowl has a 12-7/8" (327mm) diameter and is recessed in the deck/countertop. Valve: The chrome-plated 1/2" IPS stay-open ball valve is operated when the flat knob is pushed down.
Check Contents:
Separate all parts from packaging and check each part with Figure 2 and the parts list on page 4. Make sure all parts are accounted for before discarding any packaging material. If any parts are missing, do not attempt to install your Bradley Eyewash until you obtain the missing parts.
Installation Instructions:
NOTE: Flush the water supply line before beginning installation.
Supplies Required: • Supply piping to 1/2" IPS water supply inlet on eyewash • Drain piping to 1-1/4" IPS • Tailpiece and trap to conform to local codes • Sign mounting hardware
Step 1: Prepare countertop 1. Select the desired location for the eyewash on the sink deck (countertop) and make the necessary cutouts per the rough-ins
Step 2: Install eyewash 1. Assemble the valve and pipe as shown in Figure 2 on page 4 and connect to the receptor assembly. 2. Lower the complete assembly through the cutout and secure it to the deck (countertop) with the mounting hardware provided. 3. Attach the eye and face wash to the receptor assembly. 4. Install the operating rod mechanism through the hole provided. 5. Attach the operating lever to the valve and secure.
Step 3: Connect water supply
1. Connect the water supply piping to the 1/2" IPS inlet on the unit (piping supplied by installer). 2. Connect the drain piping to the 1-1/4" IPS drain outlet on the unit (piping supplied by installer). 3. Mount the safety sign to a wall or pipe using sign mounting hardware (supplied by installer). 4. Open the water supply lines. Test for leaks and adequate water flow.
