Horizontal I-Beam Slider. Elk River I-Beam is a portable anchoring device designed to be used on horizontal structural steel I-Beams. Designed by iron workers, this device makes it easier to tie-off safely in steel construction applications. The Elk River I-Beam Slider moves smoothly along the flange of the I-Beam to provide the worker with a portable anchorage. The Elk River I-Beam Slider may be ideal for iron workers, welders, insulators, painters, maintenance workers and steel erectors.
All stainless construction provides corrosion resistance. When used on the top of an I-Beam, the high-strength nylon strap protects against impacting the connecting hook against the beam. The Elk River I-Beam Slider features a minimum 5.000 pound tensile strength D-ring and impact strap and will fit I-Beam sizes 3.5" to 12" wide. Caution: The Elk River I-Beam Slider must be connected on to steel I-Beams capable of supporting an ultimate load of 5,000 pounds per worker.
Proper fall protection equipment must be used in conjunction with the Elk River I-Beam Slider. Two Elk River I-Beam Slider units may be used to provide 100% tie-off for the worker. Measures 3.5" to 12" wide x 1.125" thick
